Gabriela Meriwether

Gabriela Meriwether is a versatile, classically trained flutist with a broad repertoire that spans from Baroque masterpieces to contemporary works and musical theater. Based in San Antonio, TX, Gabriela is passionate about both performance and education. She earned her Master’s Degree in Flute Performance from Colorado State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Flute Performance from Northern Arizona University.

 

As an avid performer, Gabriela has had the privilege of premiering new works in both chamber and large ensemble settings. She currently performs with the Fiesta Flutes of San Antonio and regularly collaborates with various ensembles throughout the city.

 

Since relocating to San Antonio in the summer of 2023, Gabriela has been rebuilding her private flute studio, continuing her dedication to teaching. She is the new Flute Professor at Trinity University since the Fall Semester of 2024. Previously in Northern Colorado, she established a well-regarded flute studio, teaching students of all ages and skill levels, from middle school to collegiate.
